About This Event
Blue Ridge sits at the doorstep of some of the Southeast's best hiking, with the Appalachian Trail and dozens of trails winding through the Chattahoochee National Forest. Springer Mountain, the southern terminus of the 2,190-mile Appalachian Trail, is just a short drive from town. Popular day hikes include Long Creek Falls (an easy 2-mile round trip to a stunning waterfall), Fall Branch Falls (a moderate hike with a dramatic cascade), and the Benton MacKaye Trail. For a challenging adventure, the Toccoa River Swinging Bridge trail offers a unique suspension bridge crossing. Mountain views, old-growth forest, wildflowers in spring, and blazing fall foliage make every season spectacular.
