About This Event
The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway has been delighting visitors since 1998 with a 26-mile round trip journey along the Toccoa River. The vintage diesel-powered train departs from the historic 1905 Blue Ridge depot and winds through stunning mountain scenery โ crossing trestles, passing through river valleys, and offering breathtaking views of the North Georgia Mountains. The ride includes a 2-hour layover in the twin border towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee, where you can shop, dine, and literally stand in two states at once. Seasonal specialty rides include the Rails & Ales craft beer train, wine excursions, and the magical Polar Express-themed Christmas trains.
